I suffered with chronic shoulder pain for years and experienced first hand the effects that pain can have on living life, and the impact it can also have on family and friends. When the pain was at its worst, I couldn't hold a light grocery bag, couldn't reach for anything, it was painful to sit at work and I wasn't able to do yoga - that may not be a big deal for most people but for me not doing yoga was like telling me not to breathe.
Through my 7 year journey exploring ways to manage my pain, I've come across the most amazing people and developed a passion for sharing what I've learned - that there are SO MANY simple, effective and non-invasive ways of managing or alleviating pain. I can think of over 30 natural approaches just off the top of my head that I've experienced through my journey - and I'm still exploring since there are many, many, many more available.
I realized through my healing exploration that most of the natural and simple ways of managing pain that were effective for me, weren't readily available and I sought them out on my own. In many cases there are other approaches than pharmaceuticals, injections and surgery that we're just not aware of - that we can start with and that are geared at getting to the root of the issue, not just masking it. Our bodies are amazing, they talk to us through sensation and pain. The question is, are you listening?
Out of my passion for wanting to help others find hope, where maybe you lost the hope of living without pain, and find a healthy way of approaching pain relief, I'm bringing together some amazing practitioners in the Phoenix area for people to get a taste of what may be possibilities for you or your loved ones. Not all approaches will work for everyone, so if an approach doesn't resonate with you,
keep trying others. Take control of your health and pain and start living the life you love.
My goal is to develop an ongoing community of wellness practitioners that not only help clients, but can also learn from one another through interactive education sessions. Our first event was back in January which was focused on back pain relief, and was just the beginning. We invite you to join us on May 3, 2014 for our next event on relieving headaches. Whether you or a loved one is dealing with pain, or you're a caregiver or healthcare practitioner, I would love to have you join our community event at the TriVita Wellness Center, register at toolkitforpainrelief.eventbrite.com.
With love, hope and namaste!
